Can I get a credit or reimbursement for a PPL power outage?
We did not find a published outage credit or reimbursement program on PPL's website (checked October 16, 2026). If an outage damaged equipment or spoiled food or medicine, ask PPL whether it accepts claims.
During the July 2026 storms, PPL offered customers without power a bill credit for ice and water bought from any vendor, up to three 10-pound bags of ice and three gallons of water per day, with receipts mailed to PPL with the account number. PPL ran a similar ice and water credit after storms in August 2021. Source
When will it be fixed?
Only PPL knows. For outages it knows about, PPL's outage map and app usually show an estimated restoration time, which can change as crews find the cause, and during big storms estimates can take hours to appear. Our live PPL page shows whether people near you are still reporting the outage.
