Is this website down?
Is it down for everyone or just you? Enter any website address and we test it live from Cloudflare's network, with the response time.
How to check if a website is down
- Type or paste the address in the box above, like example.com, and press the arrow.
- We request the site from Cloudflare's network, not from your device, and time how long it takes to answer.
- Read the answer: Up means it answered us, Down means it is broken for everyone, and Unverified means it blocked our automated check, so we cannot tell (see below).
- If it is up for us but not for you, the problem is on your side: work through the steps further down.
- For a big service, like YouTube, Discord or ChatGPT, open its own page from the suggestions: it adds the official status page and reports from other people.
What the answer means
- Up: the site answered normally, and we show the HTTP status and how fast. It can still fail for you because of your network, region or account.
- Down: the site answered with a server error (HTTP 500 and up), its domain no longer exists, its host says the site is gone or unpaid, or the home page returns "not found". That is broken for everyone.
- Unverified (blocked): the site answered with 403 (forbidden), 429 (too many requests) or another refusal, showed a bot challenge, refused the connection, or did not answer within 9 seconds. Many large sites turn away automated visitors like our checker. A 403 or 429 means blocked, not down: we simply cannot tell from here. Try it on mobile data to compare.
Website status and uptime checker
A check on this page is a single test, made the moment you ask. For the sites and apps on our live board we go further: we check them every few minutes, keep a 24 hour response time chart and uptime figure, read the official status page where there is one, and keep an outage history for each. If you need the same answer inside your own tools, the free status API and MCP server runs the same check.
If it is up for us but not for you
- Reload the page with a hard refresh (Ctrl+F5, or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac).
- Try another browser, or a private window, to rule out the cache and extensions.
- Switch networks: if it loads on mobile data but not on your Wi-Fi, the problem is your connection or DNS.
- Turn off any VPN, ad blocker or firewall for a moment.
- Restart your router if no sites load at all.
If it is down for everyone
A site that suddenly shows a parking page, an ad page or no address at all may have let its domain expire. Check the domain's expiry date in our domain expiry checker: it reads the date, the registrar and any hold or deletion status straight from the registry. The DNS checker shows whether the domain still has its address and mail records.
Checking a link from a QR code?
Short links and dynamic QR codes hide where they go. The QR code checker reads a code from a photo or screenshot, follows every redirect and tells you whether the code has been deactivated, how old the final domain is and what looks risky.
