Can I get a credit or reimbursement for an Eversource power outage?

Connecticut only: under the state's Take Back Our Grid Act, PURA says residential customers out more than 96 consecutive hours after a qualifying storm get a $25 bill credit for each further 24-hour period and can claim up to $250 for spoiled food and medicine. Eversource says the 96 hours are counted from when damage assessment begins or restoration is safe (not from your own outage start), events where 70% or more of customers lose power do not qualify, and spoilage claims must be filed within 60 days; it currently lists no qualifying storm. When will it be fixed?

Only Eversource knows. For outages it knows about, Eversource's outage map and app usually show an estimated restoration time, which can change as crews find the cause, and during big storms estimates can take hours to appear. Our live Eversource page shows whether people near you are still reporting the outage.
