Is TPG down right now?

TPG internet outage status, from reports in the last 24 hours.

Reports

TPG has no public status feed

TPG does not publish a live status feed, so this counts outage reports from people having problems. A sudden jump in reports means an outage.

TPG runs on NBN's network, for nbn home internet.

If that network is having an outage, TPG is usually affected too. Check its reports as well.

Top regions

  1. No reports in the last 24 hours.

Top cities

  1. No city has 5 or more reports.

For privacy a city is listed only once 5 or more people there have reported in 24 hours.

Map of user reports in the last 24 hours, not TPG's official outage map. Each report is one visitor to this site saying something is not working, placed by the approximate location of their connection. A region in the list means people there reported problems, not that an outage is confirmed.

What to do if TPG is not working

  1. Unplug your modem and router, wait 30 seconds, plug the modem in first, then the router after 2 minutes.
  2. Check the lights on the modem: a red or blinking "online" or internet light usually means no connection from the provider.
  3. Connect a computer directly to the router with a cable to rule out a Wi-Fi problem.
  4. Check TPG's official outage page (linked on this page) or sign in to your TPG account or app: providers show outages in your area there, often with an estimated fix time.
  5. Check cables and splitters, especially after storms or building work.
  6. If neighbours have no internet either, it is an outage in your area. Note the time it started: many providers give a credit for long outages if you ask.

TPG outage questions

Is TPG down in my area?

This page shows reports from TPG customers in the last 24 hours, with the regions they come from. For outages at your exact address, use TPG's official outage checker at https://www.tpg.com.au/network-status.

What network does TPG use?

TPG uses NBN's network (for nbn home internet). When that network has an outage, TPG customers are usually affected too, so check its page as well.

Why is my TPG internet not working?

The usual causes are an outage in your area, a modem or router that needs restarting, a loose or damaged cable, or an unpaid bill. Restart the modem first; if the online light stays off and neighbours are affected, it is an outage.

Can I get a credit for a TPG outage?

Many providers give a credit for long outages when you ask. Note when the outage started and ended, and contact TPG support afterwards.
