Can I get a credit for a Telstra outage?
Telstra says that under the Customer Service Guarantee, if it misses the repair time for a home phone (voice) fault you may be entitled to $14.52 per working day for residential customers ($24.20 for business) for the first five working days, then $48.40 per working day. Internet faults are not covered, and exemptions apply for things like natural disasters and third-party damage. Telstra does not publish a standing outage credit for internet or mobile. Source
After its July 2026 mobile network outage (post dated 13 July 2026), Telstra told affected residential customers to use its online complaints form, and said small businesses with a direct financial loss could request a compensation assessment through the same form or on 1800 242 728. It did not announce an automatic credit. Source
When will it be fixed?
Only Telstra knows. If Telstra lists the problem on its official outage page, that is where an estimated fix time appears. We cannot see Telstra's network: our live page shows whether reports from other customers are still coming in, and a drop in reports usually means service is coming back.
Tell others it is not just them
A report on our page does not reach Telstra, but it shows other Telstra customers nearby what is happening. Reports are anonymous.
