It shows reports from people in North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky over the last 24 hours, by area, and links to Duke Energy's official outage map (https://outagemap.duke-energy.com/), which shows the outages Duke Energy knows about and when it expects power back.

It only tells you whether Duke Energy's official outage map answers our checks. "Up" means the map is loading, not that your power is on. During big storms the map can be slow or fail because so many people check it at once; then the reports on this page are the next best guide.
