- Check the status box at the top of this page. If Reddit reports a problem, it is on their side and you can only wait.
- Reload the page, or close and reopen the app.
- Try the other version: the website if the app fails, or the app if the website fails.
- Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, and turn off any VPN or ad blocker for a moment.
- Clear the app cache or the browser cache and cookies for the site, then sign in again.
- Update the app. Old versions sometimes stop working after a change on the service's side.

Why is Reddit not working for me?
If the status above is fine, the problem is probably on your side: your internet connection, an old app version, the browser cache, a VPN or ad blocker, or your account. Work through the checklist above.
Is Reddit down for everyone or just me?
Look at the status and the reports on this page. If Reddit reports a problem or many people are reporting at the same time, it is down for everyone. If the status is fine and there are no reports, it is probably just you: try another device or network to find out what is wrong on your side.
